Supporting our kids supports the community

When you support Copeland Community Center and Valley Youth Center, you support the 600 young people in Duluth who visit our centers each year. Unlike many youth programs, we are not part of a larger, national organization, which means anything you give to Copeland Valley Youth Centers stays right here in Duluth.

Each of our clubs has a 30-plus year history of helping Duluth’s young people. As evidence of our commitment to kids, we took the important step in 2009 of merging the two youth centers and turning to AmeriCorps volunteers to help with staffing. This has allowed us to reduce administrative costs and direct more of our budget directly to positive activities for kids.

But we still need help. We are looking for volunteers who will donate their time as positive adult role models. Donations of school supplies, recreational equipment and other materials are also much appreciated. And save your magazines and newspapers inserts printed on shiny paper. We use them as a fundraiser through the NewPage Corporation.
